Academically, my background includes a specialized Master’s Degree in Judicial Administration, a post-graduate diploma in Regulatory Law and one of my undergraduate Honours B.A.’s was in Law in Society. I taught courses on Family Mediation at McMaster University, to the Hamilton Police Service, the Ontario Police College and various other agencies and organizations. I train mediation students, both at the practicum and internship levels. Please refer to my Curriculum Vitae for a complete view of my experience and credentials.

In terms of Professional Associations, I am an Accredited Family Mediator (Acc. F. M.) with the Ontario Association of Family Mediation (OAFM), a lifetime member of Family Mediation Canada (FMC), a Family Dispute Resolution Specialist in Mediation (FDRP Med) with the Family Dispute Resolution Institute of Ontario (FDRIO), and an Accredited Employee Assistance Mediator through ADRNET. I am also a member in good standing with The ADR Institute of Ontario (ADRIO), The Association for Family and Conciliation Courts (AFCC), The Academy of Family Mediators/, and a past member of the Network (Interaction for Conflict Resolution), The Society for Conflict Resolution (SCRO), The Society of Professionals in Dispute Resolution (SPIDR)/ACR NET, and the ADR section of the Ontario Bar Association.

Of mention is that I am also the director of AXIS Family Mediation Inc., and as such supervise the operations of the mediation services (both in court and off-site), the Information and Referral Services, and the Mandatory Information Programs in the jurisdictions of Hamilton (Unified Family Court), Kitchener, Guelph, Brantford, Simcoe and Cayuga (for both Superior and Ontario Courts of Justice in each of these regions). I believe in giving back to the communities I serve and live in, and as such, I currently volunteer many committees and boards, and teach various courses, seminars and workshops.

I am a professionally trained, neutral and impartial third party who facilitates negotiations in a safe environment, between parties of relatively equal bargaining power, involved in family law disputes. I have been mediating professionally since 1998.
